Pinecrest is where one week becomes a lifetime - Campers are invited to join us for a week of fun, fellowship, and faith formation, where many create friendships that last a lifetime. We welcome all campers aged 15-26; campers can join us for the first time at any age - whoever you are there is a place for you.
During Pinecrest, campers live in cabins with their peers, participating in small discussion groups relating faith and leadership skills to our everyday lives as Christians. Cabins join up into teams throughout the week, participating in various competitions such as art challenges, kickball, lawn games, lip sync battles and all sorts of silly games. Campers can enjoy the lake, pool, and remaining adventure activies (zipline, rockwall) during their freetime each afternoon before coming back together for dinner, daily Vespers Service, and then more team competitions.
Pinecrest is a peer-led ministry; each year campers elect members of Student Council from amongst themselves, who work through the year to plan events and the next year's camp session, and ensure that Pinecrest continues to be the ministry that our young people want it to be.
Pinecrest is organized by a dedicated group of volunteer staff who work with each years' Student Council to plan reunion events throughout the year and the next year's summer session. Our staff is made up of Pastors and lay leaders who specialize in one particular part of camp such as music&activities, registration, nursing, publicizing camp, etc.
Each year Pinecrest invites "Faculty" to join us for our summer session - people from around the region that are passionate and educated on topics chosen by the Student council and allow campers to talk about being people of faith in our current world.
Everywhere! Pinecrest is a ministry, not a place, so our year-long events happen in many locations. Our annual summer session and camper reunion weekend take place at Camp Johnsonburg in Johnsonburg, NJ.
Pinecrest's summer session happens the 2nd full week of August each year; our next session is August 6-12th 2023.
Pinecrest Summer session is for young adults aged 15-26; our camper reunion weeked is for any age-eligible camper that has already attended Pinecrest. Pinecrest is open to everyone in that age range, regardless of location, gender identify, religious affiliation, or other demographic.
Pinecrest costs $450 for all first year campers and anyone that registers prior to July 1st each year, and $475 for any veteran camper registering after 7/1 - HOWEVER - scholarships are always available to anyone at any level of need. We never want the cost of camp to prevent someone from joining us.
Energy! And a willingness to try new things. In terms of packing though - here's a few tips:
